So, I read this book in pretty much one sitting over the weekend.
Yeah, writing didn’t really happen for me last weekend - but what a great read!
I’m able to read in the car. My husband drove us to Lake Geneva, where we had a weekend getaway and enjoyed the scenery on the lake. Really big houses (mansions!). Yes, to some, it may seem a bit rude to read in the car. First, I’m grateful that I CAN read in the car. I don’t get carsick if I’m in the front seat.
My husband instructs me to read, because otherwise, the lead foot and tailgating experience with him behind the wheel really makes me side-seat drive! And my anxiety levels rise, because I don’t want to crash. I especially don’t want to crash in my car. For which I’m still making payments.
Anyway, back to the book. The movie Dante’s Peak with Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton was the last volcano movie I saw. I’ve watched and re-watched over the years. I like disaster movies - especially when I don’t have to partake in the disaster personally. I lived in California for 30 years, so earthquakes, fires, and mudslides were part of living there.
Eruption is a great read if you enjoy disaster books/movies. I would bet this will be a movie in the near future. A blockbuster for certain.
Thank you for reading!
